Oh lighthouse, thou my safety
Now guide me onward home
Without your shining beacon
How I would feel alone
Shed your light around me
And never let me fall
The rocks and cliffs to warn me
And guide me to the shore
When I can feel the thunder
And see the lightning’s flash
Shine out brighter than the rest
And bring me safely back
For if I wander very far
From you, my faithful light
I fear to lose my very soul
My day is turned to night
